Now that I’m looking at everyone else’s mentorblogs I feel ashamed that mine has no literary merit at all.
The reason is entirely egocentric and if I put it in here, anyone reading it would be aghast at my selfishness.
Oh all right then. I spent a lot of years writing for a daily newspaper. What I like about sl is the dialog aspect of it all. A blog is too much of a monologue, like journalism, and I’ve done enough of that ty.
Actually, it’s not entirely like journalism. In a blog, there is a lot of “what I did and what I thought” reporting. Try that in a newspaper and you’d get fired unless you have a column of your own. And there aren’t many of those.
